What is IMS?
IMS stands for Intramuscular Stimulation which is a highly specialised form of acupuncture developed in Canada.
IMS differs from traditional acupuncture in that it works through targeting anatomical muscle injuries rather than affecting energy flow throughout the body.
The advantage of this is that treatment success rates are much higher, with over 80% of people achieving pain relief.
This treatment will benefit those who have not responded to traditional acupuncture methods.

Most chronic spinal pain is caused through injury and weakness within the multifidus muscle. This muscle controls all the segments of the spine. IMS targets the multifidus and quickly relieves pain felt around the spinal joints.

Jonathan lectures on a national as well as international stage regarding Shockwave Therapy. Jonathan also educates other health professionals on diagnostic ultrasound techniques.
