Skelian Wins National Award, and Highly Commended
We are delighted to have been awarded the Clinical Management Quality Mark (CMQM) for the third consecutive occasion by the Royal College of Chiropractors, and this time with a special commendation – one of only two clinics in the whole UK to receive this accolade.
The award was presented to Stuart Smellie and Ben Evans at a ceremony in London on 31st January. Peter Dixon, president of The Royal College of Chiropractors, explained that the CMQM is awarded to chiropractic clinics that demonstrate excellence in terms of operating within a structured and managed clinical environment. This involves a range of different activities (including clinical audit, risk management, outcome measures, and patient satisfaction) all aimed at improving the quality of patient care.
At the event, clinic director Stuart Smellie said: “We are very proud to receive this award, and particularly to be commended for an outstanding application. Our aim at Skelian has always been to provide the very best clinical care possible, but also to continue to improve the service that we provide. The CMQM award is recognition that we are achieving this.”
The CMQM is valid for the three year period from 2018 to 2020. Skelian first received the award in 2012, and is now part of a very small club of clinics that have been awarded this Quality Mark on three consecutive occasions.
Stuart went on to say that: “Improving the quality of care that we provide is an ongoing process and never finished. We are committed to incorporating the latest research evidence and best practice guidelines to provide the very highest standards of chiropractic care”.
